Condensation Control

Condensation is the most common form of dampness in UK homes. Warm, moist air produced by everyday living — cooking, showering, drying laundry indoors, even breathing — meets a colder surface such as a window, an external wall or a cold corner, and the moisture it carries turns back into water. Where that happens repeatedly, black mould follows.

Our role with condensation is advisory. JRP Ltd does not install ventilation systems or carry out condensation works. What we provide is a Qualified Assessment of your property: we take moisture and humidity readings, look at temperature and surface conditions, review ventilation and heating patterns, and rule in or rule out other forms of dampness such as rising or penetrating damp, plumbing leaks or water ingress — which can look very similar but need an entirely different fix.

You then receive plain, impartial advice on what is actually causing the problem and the realistic options for resolving it — from changes to heating and everyday moisture habits, through to improved background or mechanical ventilation, insulation improvements or remedial damp works where our assessment shows genuine dampness rather than condensation. Because we are not selling you a ventilation product, the advice you get is based only on what your property needs.
